How to
participate in your classes live online on Microsoft Teams:
MS Teams app is available for iPhone and Android phones. You
can also use the web browser (Chrome / IE preferred) version of Teams app. This
instruction will show you how to do this on Chrome:
Please log into your Microsoft Office 365 with your free
@nygc.edu account here: https://portal.office.com
(If you don’t have your @nygc.edu account, you must contact us to get it setup for you)
Once you’re logged into Office 365, please choose Teams:
If you’re being asked whether to install a Teams app or
use the Web app version, choose Web version.
Select SchoolCampus:

In SchoolCampus, you will find your classes, if you don’t find it, click on the
“hidden channels” to see more:
The “General” class/channel is where you can ask questions/discuss in public with teachers, staffs and
students.
You can start your conversation in the bottom box. Or do
audio/video chat with your fellow students/teachers with the video icon:
If your teacher has started a video/audio session in the
class, you will see an option to JOIN:
HOMEWORK
ASSIGNMENTS:
For homeworks in word/excel documents, you create them in
the web version of Word/Excel and attach them to your class:
Choose either Word or Excel and then select Create New
Blank Document:
After working with Word or Excel, select File and Save
with a name of your choice. You will be notified that when your file has been
saved online (on OneDrive):
Then you can attach your work with the “paperclip” icon
> select OneDrive > choose the file you just named.
You teachers/class mates can
then review them.
For private discussion, attachment, type the
person/teacher’s name in the top box and select that person to start a private
chat/sharing:
